Hi again. Sometimes, most times, ghosts are neither bad nor malicious. They can be quite helpful at times. And, rather nice to have on your side.
We had been married for a few months now and I was pregnant with our first child. This was around the time of the Mississauga train derailment. We lived just down the street from where it happened and were among those to be evacuated. Believe it or not, my husband slept right through it, we had to wake him up! We were part of the team that helps to get the word out and patrol area's when extra hands are needed, but because I was pregnant, we were evacuated too.
Anyway, after everyone was back into their homes and things had settled back into normal, I had a hard time trying to sleep one night. I went upstairs and there was my mom, watching tv. She said she couldn't sleep. Something was drawing us both to her livingroom and so we just watched tv together for a while. Until the outlet behind started smoking! The tv got unplugged fast. The next day, the electricians told us that the wiring was in bad shape and they had to redo it all. And the house wasn't very old either.
She did some asking around and found out that the people she bought the house from had their dad living with them and he died there. We wondered if that was who it was and were answered in a rather funny way. She found a wooden sign in a cubbyhole with their (the previous owners) name on it and threw it in the trash. The next day, it was sitting on the washer. So, she threw it out again. Then, you guessed it, there it was in plain sight again. That happened a few times and always when noone was home. Which gave us our answer on who it was that saved us from disaster, not once, but twice.
There is a very important lesson here....Listen to that inner voice AND to all the things going on around you. Sometimes, it's telling you something important. Don't fear the spirits until they give you something to fear.
Oh yeah, don't forget to smile and light up someones day.
